No Training Necessary
The extended activity plans and planning resources were designed in a way that incorporates facilitation tips, research, considerations, and ideas for variations and extension activities so library staff and afterschool providers do not need training in order to use Fostering Readers materials. We learned from the pilot project evaluation that facilitators who took the training did not think it was necessary. On the other hand, the facilitators who did not take the training wished they had and struggled a little with using the Fostering Readers materials to implement literacy activities. Below are a few resources you may be interested in if you want training.
